CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and is a partnership between the farmer and the consumer. By participating in a CSA you are supporting your local economy and farmer. In return, you are provided with a share of the produce. By purchasing a share in the farm you are forming a unique relationship with the person growing your food. When you choose a CSA you are choosing to consume fresh and local food that is a good choice to aid a healthy lifestyle. It provides you with a direct link between the production and the consumption of your food.
When you join Koru Gardens CSA you are choosing to eat seasonal food that has been grown for you and your family. You have access to fresh food regularly, know where it has come from, and how it has been produced. Participating in a CSA has many health benefits for your family! We try to make preparing new (and well known) vegetables easy to prepare through our weekly newsletter with ideas about how to use the produce you receive. Koru Gardens will also have special farm events for its shareholders throughout the year to come and experience seasonal life on a farm and learn more about our gardens.
